 1. RIMS R&D system
The R&D system for researching and developing the Road Infrastructure Monitoring System (RIMS) is as follows.
The New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) has commissioned the NMEMS Technology Research Organization (hereinafter referred to as “NMEMS”) and others to form a road infrastructure monitoring research consortium in order to conduct R&D while cooperating mutually under the direction of NEDO (through joint research and re-commissioning). NMEMS will establish the Road Infrastructure Research Center under the Infrastructure Monitoring Laboratory, and the R&D system will comprise industry-academia-government collaboration and user participation (expressway companies).
